Ok...here we go. It has been requested by a few that I post some pics of my ballroom days. Took forever, but I finally got to it. It was so fun to look through all my pictures and relive the glory days! :o) I need to put out a disclaimer first: 1- There will be many pictures of me with my partner Reed. MANY. 2- I will be wearing seemingly silly things in ALL of the pics, and my hair will be slicked back tight in most. That's just the way it works. :o) 3-In some of them I'm as young as 15, in some as old as 18. 4- I'm loving every minute of it in ALL of them. Shamefully cheesy, yes. | Here I am with one of my best friends from H.S. We were on the bus going to a competition in the first one, and we were so slap happy and silly in our hotel room in the other one. That's the only one from the hotel room that I can show. I need to look at these photos if I ever start rolling my eyes at the things my Beehives do. Ah, good times. |

 My BFF and I after our last performance together. We were both so sad, but put on a brave face for the camera. Love your guts Kindra! So there you have the beginning of my ballroom life. I am going to the BYU Ballroom Dance Concert this weekend, I never miss it. But it's a bittersweet thing for me. I love love love watching it. But I miss miss miss it so very much. There is a part of me that is deluded enough to sit there and daydream while I'm watching the dancers and think that I could just run right out there on the floor and start dancing like I never left! Ah well...at least I have my pictures and videos! If you've made it this far in the post...wow! :o) I know there were a ton of photos. Just be glad I edited and didn't put all of the ones I wanted to up here. Thanks for reading! |

Allyson, I can relate to everything in this post (except the dancing part!) I completely understand how you feel about missing it. I miss showing horses more days than I don't. I did it for 13 years so it was a huge part of my life. I miss the friendships that I had, and the entire atmosphere that went along with it.
Thank you for posting these pictures, I loved seeing you in your element and the James Bond one...Thats hot!!
Oh, and sorry to confuse Lindsay, Stephanie F. and Jenny who commented last night....Jon was helping me with putting the pictures in tables, and posted it to see if it was looking ok. I added no comments of my own, and they were just random dancing pics. Then his friend came over, he got distracted, and he forgot that he had actually posted it...so there it was. Unfinished and random. When he got back to it late last night, he noticed that people had actually commented on it! lol... Needless to say, that post was removed and this one was made.
I think that is so neat that you did ballroom!!! I loved your photos!!!

You are so stinking cute! I love those pictures! What a wonderful time of your life! Your face shows it! It made me day dream back to my year on Drill Team in High School. Maybe I should find those pictures just to re live that wonderful time of my life too! Thanks for sharing them! Sure glad you posted again! I've been checking!
Allyson...I am so glad you posted these!! I have been waiting and waiting to see them. You were (and still are....) GORGEOUS!! I love ballroom dancing, even though I've never attemped it myself. :o) I am so impressed at your talents.... Can you NOT do anything?? ha ha I just love Dancing with the Stars, so if you're ever watching it...and you start feeling nostalgic, you can call me and talk!! ;o) I still think you should teach lessons, BTW.
