Ten Years Ago Today...(WARNING: kinda sappy)

March 14th, 1998. The day I went to the temple with the most amazing person I'd ever met, and we were sealed together. That was a magical day for me. It's been a magical ten years too! My husband is plain old fun to be married to. We enjoy each other so much, and the thought of another 10 years together makes me smile. Here are some pics of us while dating, as well as some wedding ones. I couldn't find my album today that has all the good wedding pictures, but these will do. I love that man so much.

First official date! Jon cooked Chicken Parmesan for me at my house. He was on a mission to impress. Mission accomplished. And yes, those are black corduroy overalls, and bangs.

We were engaged here. Trying to keep warm at my sister's wedding. Look at those faces...so in love! :o)

Man, he couldn't keep his hands, or face, off of me! Just teasing. We were engaged here as well, just being silly as usual.

We had just been sealed and were on our way out of the temple. Happy day!

Just out of the temple and ready to smooch!

And of course, the cutting of the cake. What a day! It was the happiest of my life. I am thankful every day that I married the man I did. The effort he puts into trying to make me happy is enough to make a whole roomful of me's happy. He is fun, caring, thoughtful, so very intelligent, and makes me laugh. Not to mention, he ain't a bad kisser. So thanks, hun, for a great life. I take such great pleasure and comfort in each day with you. Happy Anniversary! Love you baby!

Well I figured I would share a little flashback of my own. The top picture is of me paying up on a bet. I was pretty tricky back in the day, we bet dinner over the Jazz - Bulls finals game one. If I win then I get dinner with Ally, if she wins I get dinner with Ally, this is what you call a no lose situation. So anyhow I thought I would share my journal entry for that photo / night.

(spelling & grammar not corrected)
June 8th 97 - Friday night I had my 1st official date with Allyson. We had a Bulls - Jazz party at Jason Williams house. [Note: all my buddies were helping me, so much so that they arranged this party on my behalf] We went swimming afterwards, Allyson looked dynamite in her swimming suit I really had no idea. The Jazz won. I had [two] tickets for today's game but I sold them for $100 a piece. [note: Sunday] Last night I went over to Allyson's house and cooked dinner with her. We made Chicken Parmesean and Spaghetti and a peach Cobler. We talked a lot about our relationship and she expressed a few of her fears towards me. We talked about Kissing, and the adverse affect it would place upon our relationship. We touched a little bit about our age difference. I sense that this is a major concern of hers. I believe her Mom (Ella) is really concerned also.
Allyson is a very Beautiful girl and I think I could see myself in a Serious relation with her. However she is but 18 yrs old where I am 25. That is quite the age difference. She is in my thoughts quite often, and I find myself having difficulty concentrating on the task at hand. Next week I will be moving home for the Summer that will make things more interesting and relaxing for me. [end entry]

Well moving home sure didn't make things more relaxing, we were pretty much together every night, I would end up sleeping on her parents couch and then wake up around 5:30 am and drive 70 miles to work out in the west desert to the worst job I ever had in my life. Anyhow, things progressed very well over the Summer and we were engaged on November 1st of 97 and then as you now know I was sealed to my beautiful wonderful wife on March 14th 1998.

I love you Allyson, I truly am a lucky, lucky man!

I loved reading this!! I loved the pictures, too!! Jaxon was, of course, excited to see "jonframton". ha ha I loved reading Jon's journal entry, too.
In typical "guy fashion", he WOULD have to mention the swimsuit, huh?? ha ha Allyson, looking at those pictures...you have always been beautiful!! You haven't changed a bit. Jon IS lucky to have you....but we happen to like him just a little bit, too....so you're a little lucky yourself. :o) BTW, I was laughing at the comment you left on my blog about my lovely shirt I was wearing. There is NO way I could wear a shirt like that now without making someone THROW UP. Seriously..... Maybe in a few months, if my diet continues to work, then I'll try it out and let you know....you silly girl. You make me laugh. I hope you guys had a GREAT anniversary!!

Happy Anniversary! Neither of you guys have changed! (minus the bangs and overalls) You are two very beautiful people and you make the most beautiful children together. You really do have gorgeous kids.
Jon, will you give Daren that chicken parmesean recipe. Every week I ask him what he wants for dinner he says, chicken parmesean. WHAT?! I've never made it in my life! I've had no clue what he's talking about. I thought it was just some random thing he came up with. And lo and behold I see that you made it for Ally, I knew we were friends for a reason ;)
